suddenly, my doubt on s'pore survival, in the long run, is reignited again.
Singapore will last for at least another 200 years as a prosperous city nation, with PAP in charge for at least the next 50 years.
It's re-ignited with the hyphen. Without the hyphen, it's not a word. Furthermore, you don't need the word 'again', it's superfluoussuddenly, my doubt on s'pore survival, in the long run, is reignited again.
JT, Ah Gong did something wonderful to transform this island into what it is today, of that I have no doubt. AFAI am concerned, we are doing well because of Ah Gong and not because of your fellow MIW. But how many Ah Gongs have you seen in your entire lifetime? The closest act I can think of is across the causeway now overstaying his promised tenure. I think Ah Gong is a tough if not impossible act to follow.Singapore will last for at least another 200 years as a prosperous city nation, with PAP in charge for at least the next 50 years.

Without him, I fear that sinkieland will revert to mean. I for one started fearing for sinkieland's future when he was buried.
I am only going to disagree with you on a minor note. Unfortunately, I feel you are right about most everything else you said, but Ah Gong's system was to raise a cadre of Mandarins to support him, not replace him. I don't see anybody within an astronomical unit of his ability. All the PSC and President's scholars are support for him and his chosen imperial descendants. The problem with this is that the next emperor is not him nor are any forseeable imperial descendants. So now all the people who were somewhat close to him in ability either aged out or sued to death. None of the meritocracy was designed to replace him as it was in Imperial China.Ah Gong left us a great system, where capable people rise to the top based on merit. Our government today is headed by top PSC and President Scholars. There are also many capable non-scholars who rose to their positions on merit.
Ah Gong knew that he won't live forever. So he left us a system based on merit, where all races and religions can thrive. You look at our neighbours. They are lurching towards an intolerant islamist system where non-moslems and non-m&ds are barely tolerated and constantly live under the threat of getting lynched, robbed and their properties burnt by islamists crowds.
So I think with the islamists continually fucking things up, the rich and capable people in ASEAN will continue to flock to Singapore to park their wealth, or just to get away from it all.
hanor, and since they"re old hands at happy endings, they tend to make it as short and as soon as possible...Prostitute is prostitute no old or new ba...principle is to spread leg and provide pleasure to the buyer
It’s fake news. Microsoft is building a swanky new office at frasers tower.
my sources said that it has been the talk of the town since last year that they are moving out of sg. hope that it's fake news.
This “certain work related usage” happens to mean, the 2nd largest world market share in public cloud. Apart from that, I do not know of any company who is not using the Microsoft Office software. And yes, we still run on windows OS.Other than certain work-related usage, Microsoft is quite irrelevant these days. You can easily go through a day without touching a single Microsoft product.
Singapore citizens, including top brass and leaders, thinks the world revolves around them. The new generation only think of posting good food pics on instagram, nothing more.i also wish for s'pore to stay on the bright route but we have to be practical on the hard facts that we are facing. comparing hk, she has china's backing and looking out for her. s'pore is a small country, on the other hand, is surrounded by muslim countries and we can only depend on ourselves when faced with adversity. even some westerners still regard s'pore as part of malaysia, we are too small to be of big impact to others.
i also noted that we are currently having less problems cos' our neighbourly muslim leaders are quite reasonable pple. if one day, one of these leaders got replaced by an extremist, we are finished.

Only a few who have venture outside the country will understand the complexities of the world.
