Dear Dr Chee,
Good to hear there will be 1 on 1 contest.
Some people say PAP places a Monkey at BB, they also win, well, as long as you don't give up, you have already half battle won.
BB by-election is not about contesting PAP or fighting the PAP or condemning the PAP. There is no effect on the voters if you do so. In fact by doing so, you are helping Pap TO WIN MORE.
The gist is the voters themselves, so you are contesting the voters not the PAP monkeys. So do not pick a fight on PAP becos you will waste your time. Focus on the voters.
Now, there are some messages you may want to talk about .
DR Chee, the most pressing issue is the TC issues, you must throw your weight behind the TC ---cleanliness of the estate, collection of charges, taking over the accounts.......be intelligent to persuade the voters you can do it. You need 25% to win !
Another issue , we think you should highlight to the voters, to whole sinkapore that it is good to remember our history, our building fathers, and also to respect them if they had done good to the country. You know every country has its History, but we cannot live our minds in the past to weather the present and the future. The people needs well-paid jobs to pay houses and high living costs at the present. The future is uncertain, too much history will not help the present becos the living costs in the past were easy to cope, we cannot simply pay 13k for a three room HDB flat no more.. ...... try to convince indirectly the voters and the whole country to come back to earth.
Dr Chee , be diplomatic about these issues. Too much of History may also waste country coffers and public time instead of thinking how to bring down living costs. The History Issue is also important for you to pull in another 10% votes ! Don't miss out this History issue, this is awakening subject to the whole sinkapore. Just be diplomatic and smart about it ....you can do it.
