Merchants Association in MacPherson division to keep price stableSINGAPORE: The Merchants Association in the MacPherson division of Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency agreed to keep the prices of items stable in its shops for the next six months, so as to help residents deal with the challenges of the rising cost of living.Revealing this to the media was the new People's Action Party (PAP) candidate for Marine Parade GRC, Miss Tin Pei Ling, who will be looking after the MacPherson division if the team is returned for the General Election.Accompanying Miss Tin during a morning market visit at Aljunied Avenue 2 was the Marine Parade GRC team, including Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and the other candidates.Miss Tin also felt that age was not a factor in wanting to serve the people, especially when having to deal with a division which has a large number of senior citizens. The PAP team in Marine Parade GRC is expected to be challenged by a team from the National Solidarity Party come Nomination Day.
