Indeed. For such cases with obviously strong karmic connections, the individuals involved would have a lot to gain in terms of insight & understanding by doing either or all of the following :
a) Past-life and intermissive LBL hypnotic regression facilitated by a psychologist or psychiatrist who is certified by Dr Michael Newton's The Newton Institute (TNI).
b) Hilarion Reading by Jon C Fox
c) Attend courses at the International Academy of Consciousness (IAC)
Of course, EVERYONE would benefit a lot by doing any or all of the above, but the vast majority of people on Earth are not ready (especially those still caught up in the delusion of religion). But exceptional circumstances (eg. such as unusual medical cases and/or exceptional relationships such as the one you highlighted) can trigger readiness in people.
