A 25-year-old Thai air stewardess has died of internal bleeding and organ failure after being bitten by mosquitoes.

Malaysian media Oriental Daily reported that the Thai Lion air crew member named Apitchaya Jareondee and her family experienced high fevers and severe headaches after they were bitten.

They were then admitted into Lanna hospital in Chiang Mai, where they were diagnosed with dengue.

Subsequently, the condition of the stewardess worsened, with the dengue infection resulting in internal bleeding and multiple organ failure.

She passed away on Aug. 5, purportedly less than three days after she was infected.

Singapore understates our dengue deaths by classifying some of them as organ failures.

It's impossible not to be bitten by mosquitoes when you are in Thailand. There are just too many, especially those living rural areas.

KNN it's strange that human can get killed so easily by mosquitoes flying anywhere but people just continue to work for more and more money especially those already have alot of money should be spending most of their time figuring out how to stop having these killer mosquitoes completely rather than spending resources time and money on nafa etc which has no benefits to human nature at all KNN

Most people likely thinks that they won't be so unlucky KNN but don't they know dengue doesn't discriminate age and wealth KNN e.g apitchaya would have repeatedly asked the relevant authorities to combat dengue rather than working as a fulltime air stewardess if given a choice now KNN good luck to everyone but note that within this 3 mths my uncle already encountered 2 acquaintance with dengue KNN
