The amount of sugar in these beverages is causing the diabetes epidemic in Singapore.
Why is there no sugar tax imposed?
Tax for what? You want the kleptocrats of the PAP govt to micromanage our lives some more, and pocket more money for itself?

If I remember correctly, you can specify the amount of sugar you want in your bubble tea.
Those who got diabetes (weight) problem usually have a sweet tooth and are fond of eating candies, desserts and muffins. You want to tax those too?
Finally twits like this guy preached about reducing sugar consumption. But no one bothers to talk about WHY insulin production is hindered in some people... the root cause of diabetes. And you cannot blame sugar for that.
