MediaCorp actor Qi Yuwu bloodied in car accident

Popular local actor Qi Yuwu was involved in a car accident two days ago (24 April) along Upper Thomson Road.

Mr Qi was on the way home at about 10pm when his car was suddenly rear-ended by another car.

The impact caused Mr Qi’s car to hit the vehicle in front, resulting in a chain collision involving four cars in front.

The safety airbag in Mr Qi’s car inflated, resulting in him being hit on his lips.

He also suffered cuts on his face and abrasions on his legs and neck.

After the accident, Mr Qi was taken in an ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital where his injuries were treated.

The hospital advised the actor to see an aesthetics specialist doctor for his facial injuries.

Mr Qi visited a specialist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital yesterday and received one stitch on his lip and two on his cheek.

He was told that the injuries will not leave scars on his face, but he should avoid foods that contain colours as it may cause his facial complexion to heal unevenly.

Mr Qi said he felt very touched that his friends had rushed to the hospital to check on him after the accident.
