2 youths held for robbing teen

POLICE on Tuesday arrested two 19-year-old youths suspected of robbing a teenage girl.
The robbery is believed to have taken place on Sunday at a staircase landing in a HDB block in McNair Road.
The suspects had grabbed the girl and knocked her unconscious. When the girl regained consciousness, she found her mobile phone and a wallet containing $10 cash and other personal belongings missing.
The victim's mobile phone and wallet were recovered from the suspects.
The two suspects will be charged in court on Wednesday for robbery with hurt. If convicted, they face a jail term of between five and 20 years and caning of at least 12 strokes.
