cannot be airflown fresh. frozen and shipped by sea for fast food ingredients. even if salmon is farmed in hokkaido, it’s frozen and shipped by sea to lower cost. if of hokkaido origin, it’s most likely farmed sockeye at nemuro. they started sexperimental farming of sockeye in 2016 when russia banned driftnet fishing around the kamchatka/siberian region.
