Customers at McDonald's across Taiwan will have to pay NT$10 (NT$0.30) more for some items on the Extra Value Meals menu beginning Friday, the chain announced Thursday.

The McChicken, Filet-O-Fish and Double Cheeseburger meals will see their prices go up to NT$89, among other adjustments, McDonald's said in a press release.

The decision to raise prices on some items comes because of rising costs, the company said, adding that prices for the three meals have remained unchanged since 2009.

The iconic Big Mac meal will cost NT$109, also an increase of NT$10, and the price of a vanilla ice cream cone will rise slightly to NT$18 from the current NT$15.

At the same time, some prices will drop in price. Four Chicken McNuggets will cost NT$49–NT$6 less than before.

Prices for beverages, breakfast offerings and Happy Meals will remain unchanged, the company said.
