Alot of ppl think its good to stretch the loan as long as possible ... thought having cash by their side is better ... I think it's a silly idea ...imagine all those interest accumulate over the years .. It's just not worth it . Now u know why the rich will be richer ? Because they save a lot on interest in property compare to other ppl ( it's like buying things at a discount ) . The amount of interest they save can be used on other things .

Why does the Govt implemented CMs( about 6 already since 2009) to restrict some Singaporeans buying another homes for investments and at the same time releasing so many lands for EC and PC not including BTO. Latest another 5 lots released recently. I think its all about money. Govt prefers foreigners to buy than to Singaporean becos of ABSD. By 2016, most of them will be TOP. Singapore will be very very crowded. Take Punggol for example, there are about 20 new developments and whether the MRT can managed.
