actually they don't as they know they can't govern better and herein lies the problem. any non-malay person in power will always be perceived as a threat to them, rightly or wrongly. since they don't have the confidence to compete, they constantly harp on their bumi rights to support their case for fear of being ousted one way or another. same goes with the man in the street. they prefer crutches than direct competition and either way they also lose. with crutches they can never progress but without crutches they will be outdone, every time.

Actually most dont really bother who runs the country as long as its run properly. You fail, like in anwar's case, they lost nearly all seats in sabah state election. And currently, anwar who promised reform, is failing. And dragging DAP down. .
