Nine members of Malaysia's Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) were killed in a road accident involving a lorry carrying rocks along in Teluk Intan, Perak on May 13.
The driver, who survived, has been detained for investigation.
Hilir Perak district police chief ACP Dr Bakri Zainal Abidin said the driver has since tested negative for drugs, reported the New Straits Times and Malay Mail.
Investigations into the cause of the accident are still ongoing.
The FRU is a riot control branch under the country's police force.
Eight of the nine victims were pronounced dead at the scene while another died at the hospital.
They were returning from a security assignment at the Chitra Pournami Festival in Teluk Intan.
Bakri also urged those with any information on the accident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
According to Sinar Harian, the nine deceased were aged between 28 to 46 years old.
Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said in a statement on May 13 that nine personnel were being treated at the hospital.
Of those, five were "seriously injured", Azmi said, according to The Star.
Wishing a quick recovery for the injured personnel, Azmi expressed that the deaths were a "huge loss" to the police force and country.
Witnesses described the scene as "chaos", saying the FRU personnel jumped out of their vehicles to shout and call for help.
"Some were in shock, trying to rescue their colleagues and giving emergency first aid," a food stall vendor working nearby said.
Another witness, a food stall assistant, said she saw a white van emerge from a junction just before the crash.
