A jobless man was charged in court on Tuesday with the murder of an 88-year-old woman in a lift at Choa Chu Kang more than two weeks ago.
Muhammad Fazrie Mohammad Ridzuan, 22, is accused of causing the death of Madam Lee Ping Yeng in a lift at Block 115 Teck Whye Lane between 10.36am and 10.57am on April 12.
Madam Lee was reported to have head injuries at the ninth floor lift lobby of the block that day. She was taken to National University Hospital where she died three days later.
Fazrie, who has tattoos on both arms, was remanded at Central police division for a week for investigation. He will be back in court on May 6.
