the security guards in M'sia are usually young and therefore more capable of doing the job. security guards in Sg are mostly frail retirees and many have physical limitations as well.

Security providers make use of cheap labour at malls, condos, factories etc. Their clients just want a warm body there to deter would be thieves, vandals, trespassers etc.
