1. Has he been following the case? The topic didn't start because the hawker centre was dirty. It was a missing scaffolding which prevented cleaning at ceiling to be done. No one from AHPE or NEA intended not to fulfill their duties. Not sure if NEA seniors are now feeling embarassed by their lost head.

2. Even if the hawker centre is dirty, it is not the case today or the hawkers will still be barking. Did he go to the ground? Or is this some tactic of putting an impossible condition so to avoid meeting WP.

3. To propose to meet only after the problem is solved is senseless. If the problem is solved, meet him for what?

4. Hawker Associations run by PAP chaps like Ng scrimp and stinge on table cleaners to the result that stacks of plates lie all over the table and on the floor, with saliva in leftovers and flies all over. If NEA is so concerned about hygiene, did they ensure that Hawkers Association comply with some minimum manpower?

5. LTK is not holding office in AHPE nor wrote any of the letters we have seen. Why of all people did Vivian propose to meet him?

Yes, his statement is very embarrassing to himself and pretty much showed that he doesn't really know what is going on before he stuck his head in. He tells the AHPETC to clean the Hawker Centers - they have already been cleaned according to the standards set by NEA. He tells the AHPETC to cooperate with the NEA - they already did, back in 6th June.

It's fairly obvious that the NEA know they were wrong to attack the AHPETC and WP for their own failings, but they don't care. They know they have the media on their side and as long as they can continue to put up vague unsubstantiable statements to make the WP look bad they will continue to do so. Sure there are a few people that will examine the claims on both sides and (if rational) can see through all the bullshit from NEA, but we are really the minority of people. Most people will just believe whatever the government says through the mainstream media.

This is not simply sacarsm. It is like a student had his homework copied by a lazy bully, but instead of reprimanding the bully, the principal tells the student to clean up his act and show a good grade first before coming to see him to clear the air.

Vivian said WP should clean up the hawker centre and apologize to the hawkers. If he was being sarcastic, it means he doesn't agree that the hawker centre is dirty and WP did no wrong to the hawkers? That contradicts his own position in his first statement and NEA's position.

Its no longer about facts or whats on the ground. It about impressions, creating images and persuading the general populace to see their way. For VB and PAP, its now pure politics and politicking. There are 3 things that they want to do;

1. Divert the attention from the damaging Aimgate episode, key questions which remain unanswered

2. To destroy the credibility and integrity of the 2 opposition MPs who are able to go the distance

3. Undermine the role of WP to look after their constituents and to manage a TC

i think he should not only visit bedok hawker centers but all the hawker centers also. come on... what's the point of just one visit to justify his million paycheck. it's not even value for money, consider the increasing nos of dengue cases, extent of dirty tables during his watch. after overspending on YOG in effect to raise the status of the country, should we leave poor hygiene as the lasting impressions for tourists and visitors?

If I were mean I 'd say CSJ, KJ has no constituency so no hawker center for girl girl to inspect.

the high areas had not been cleaned and according to NEA the high areas need to be cleaned by June 2013 latest.
