[h=1]MANY COMPANIES ARE STILL ILLEGALLY UNDERPAYING FOREIGNERS SO THEY ARE CHEAPER[/h]

I have been reading articles on this site for quite sometimes and I just feel that I should just share some stories of mine.
Today on 12/9/14 I read an article regarding a FT getting a salary of $2480. The first thought that came up my mind was "it's not entirely true".
Let me ask you, what's the purpose of hiring labours from our neighboring countries? To help the company cut expenses on manpower or to increase it? Would you spend $2480 hiring someone from a rural country with their local university certification?
There are lots of flaws/loopholes currently in our FT recruitment policy. I only got to know this after I completed my 2 years national service while working for a small company. Not gonna name this company because I'm just a average singaporean trying to earn a living and also have to pay monthly installments on my university tuition fees.
The company that I'm working at currently, always employ foreigners from their own country and recently came a new FT worker on S-pass. (Assume RR is the new FT worker).
RR wanted to work in singapore so my company tried apply S-pass for him. First time applying with salary of $1800 but was rejected. So my company tried second time for $2500. This time it was approved. I was like WDF? $700 increment? I was curious so I asked my colleague who is also a FT about this matter. He laugh and told me that it's not actual salary. I'm puzzled and told him to tell me what exactly is going on. So he went on to explain that everymonth , the FTs in our company have to pay back certain amount of money back to the company. He told me that it's a very common practice among companies in singapore.

After hearing this I was shocked. I wanted to report this matter but I couldn't because I need this job to survive in this harsh society where the government is not protecting our locals interest.

What's good in singapore educational system when jobs are giving to FT first? Being educated locally isn't good enough compare to our neighboring countries?

I'm only in my mid twenties and I urge fellow readers to think well before you vote for the next general election.

Lastly I want to say, JOB BANK is a joke! Cannot believe those people with high salaries working in MOM can come out with this crap idea.

First time typing an article so pardon my English and my paragraphing as I'm just a SINGAPORIAN!
