Manchester United thrills Sydney to thrash A-League All-Stars

Manchester United eased to a 5-1 friendly win over the A-League All-Stars at Sydney's Olympic stadium on Saturday night.

Danny Welbeck and youngster Jesse Lingard both scored twice in front of a sell-out 83,127 crowd, before superstar striker Robin van Persie came off the bench in the final half hour to score at the death.

Brisbane Roar's Besart Berisha combined with club team-mate Thomas Broich to score the All-Stars only goal on 52 minutes.
