A manager in an oil company was cleared on Thursday of molesting a waitress after making a donation to the Singapore Red Cross Society.

Japanese national Tange Tomio made the $74,000 donation to charity in the name of the 28-year-old victim to have the case compounded.

The 39-year-old man had been charged with lifting the woman's skirt and stroking her thigh at a Havelock Road premises on Nov 23 last year.

The prosecution had no objection to the case being compounded.

This is not good where justice is concerned.
Looks like if you are rich, you can get away with an offence.
What about those who cannot afford....
Let them rot in prison.
Mana ada justice for the poor.
