Man wants to ‘sell’ wife

A 32-year-old man in Selayang has threatened to “sell” his wife to loan sharks to be raped after she refused to help him pay off his debts, reported Harian Metro.

During the 8.30am incident on Friday, the man, who had a RM10,000 debt, had demanded that his wife hand over her bank account number and ATM card.

“When the wife refused to hand over the documents, the man got angry and began to scold her. Spewing vulgarities, he even threatened to harm her,” said a police source.

The 32-year-old wife later lodged a report at the Selayang police station.

Gombak district Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rahim Abdullah confirmed the report.
