Man touches girl's thigh on the bus

A man who sat beside a girl on the bus earlier today appeared to be deliberately touching her thigh even as she asked him to move his hand away.

Ting, who wrote in to Stomp, said that she was aboard the National University Hospital (NUH) shuttle bus at around 12pm today when a man sat beside her.

"Around 5 minutes later, suddenly there was something touching my butt. I looked down and I saw his hand placed on my seat."

When she turned around to confront him, she saw that his eyes were closed, so she thought that he was asleep and did not do it on purpose.

He moved his hand without saying sorry when she woke him up to ask him to move his hand away.

Still shocked, she kept her eyes on his hand, and saw him slowly shift it toward her seat again.

"He kept pretending to sleep even when the bus stopped and everyone was alighting.

"I asked him to let me alight the bus, and he opened his eyes but still pretended that he did not hear," said Ting.

After alighting, she immediately went to the bus stop near Singapore Poly. According to her, he kept loitering around her until she called someone. She believes this scared him away.

She warned other girls: "It was a really scary experience with perverts like him. Girls out there please be aware and protect yourselves!"
