IT WAS a sight no father would ever want to see - his son dying right in front him.
The son, identified as 28-year-old Mr Tan Song Wei, was shot point-blank in the head at a coffee shop in Johor Baru on Wednesday.
The father had arrived on the scene to witness just in time to witness his son's last few breaths, but, as the father described it, blood was flowing from his head like a tap and Mr Tan died shortly after.
Mr Tan had been attacked by three masked assailants, who pulled up in a Proton car at 5.30am. One pulled out a gun and shot Mr Tan twice in the forehead at close range before retreating to the car.
Newspaper reports speculate that one of the three killers was a woman and that the attack could have been a contracted hit.
