A MAN was charged on Wednesday with two counts of sexually abusing his four-year-old daughter.
The 37-year-old, who cannot be named, allegedly rubbed the girl's buttocks on his groin area and touched her private parts on an occasion between March and May. He allegedly did it again in June.
The girl is now five years old.
He indicated to the court that he intended to plead guilty.
The case was adjourned to Jan 6.
If convicted, he faces a fine of up to $4,000 and/or a jail term of up to four years on each charge under the Children and Young Persons Act.
