Man sent for psychiatric evaluation after allegedly grabbing student's buttocks

SINGAPORE: A 30-year-old man has been accused of using criminal force to grab a 15-year-old student's buttocks.
Jason Tan Zhiwei allegedly did so on Tuesday morning, at the escalator leading to one of the exits at Toa Payoh MRT station.
He is accused of grabbing the girl's buttocks with the intent to outrage her modesty.
Tan will be remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for psychiatric evaluation.
If convicted, he can be jailed up to two years, fined and caned. - CNA/xq
