[TD="class: msgtxt"][h=1]Man rents out flat to nightmare tenants[/h]
Shin Min Daily News - 15 hrs 40 mins ago
The walls of the flat are caked with dried blood and dead bedbugs.
A man called Shin Min Daily News to relate his experience on renting out his house.
Mr Lin, 32, had rented out his second-floor three-room flat located at Blk 163, Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 to a cleaning company to house seven workers.
Lin said his flat was perfectly serviceable when he rented it out but has since turned into a dirty and smelly nest for bedbugs.
Lin's cousin, Zhou, recently helped to check on the rental flat and recounted what happened.
"When I went by the house, it was terribly smelly. I thought someone had died in the house," Zhou said.
When Zhou checked on the house, he found the walls caked with dead bedbugs and blood stains. This was because the tenants had been squishing the bugs on the walls, resulting in a disgusting mess.
In the terribly filthy house, Zhou also found many burnt marks on the floor caused by cigarettes. He laments that the toilet door has also been spoilt and the pipes are broken and leaking.
Luckily for Lin, the rental period expired yesterday on 30 September. Lin will however be forking out money to repair his house as the irresponsible tenants moved out quickly and quietly late at night.
The tenants, with a last irresponsbile act, dumped their useless furniture at the corridor outside Lin's house. The dumped mattresses were soiled and infested with bedbugs which have crawled out to infect the homes of nearby neighbours.
