Man on flag vandalism charge

A MAN was charged on Wednesday with vandalism by cutting a State flag and two Youth Olympic Games flags. Lim Keng Choon, 36, allegedly committed the offence at the third floor of Block 202 Compassvale Road on Monday. He was remanded until Oct 6 for psychiatric evaluation. If found guilty, he can be fined up to $2,000 or jailed for up to three years and get between three and eight strokes of the cane.
