SINGAPORE - Mr Kave Goh who revealed his shocking phone bill of $350,000 on Facebook has removed his posting.
The Straits Times reported that SingTel said Mr Goh had to settle only $12,000 of his bills as he had been on SingTel's Bridge DataRoam plan while he was in Taiwan.
SingTel explained that Mr Goh was charged a flat rate of $14 a day as long as he was connected to SingTel's affiliated telco, Taiwan Mobile. He had downloaded 15GB worth of data on this network, choking up a bill of $349,243.25. The telco, later said, $336,000 would be waived off.
However, he was connected to Far East Tone on three instances and used about 600MB of data, hence he would be charged a bill totalling up to $12,000.
SingTel is currently in negotiations with Mr Goh about his bill.
