Man killed after being hit by taxi in Kallang

SINGAPORE: A Singaporean man was killed after being hit by a taxi in Kallang early Wednesday.
Investigations are still ongoing, but a source has identified the victim as Oh Swee Tian, a resident of Block 3B in Upper Boon Keng Road.
It was not clear whether the victim was crossing the street when the taxi spun off the road and hit him.
The service road, which connects blocks 3B and 3C, is reportedly a blind spot for drivers and witnesses said residents have earlier raised the issue with the town council.
Police said the victim was pronounced dead by a paramedic at about 5.40am.
