Man jailed for commercial sex with minor

A self-employed mas was jailed for three months on Monday for paying $100 for the sexual services of an underage Vietnamese girl.
Joseph Koh Hong Thye, 51, pleaded guilty to getting the services of the freelance hostess-cum-prostitute who was then 17 at Lai Ming Cosmoland Hotel in Geylang Road in mid-Noember last year.
The court heard that the girl came to Singapore on Nov 5 and started working at the A Gun and S Box pub along Joo Chiat Road following fellow Vietnamese nationals' recommendations.
Koh, a regular patron of A Gun pub, contacted the girl in mid-November. She recognised it was Koh as she had saved his mobile phone.
