SINGAPORE - A man who used a metal rod to assault his wife's alleged lover was jailed on Thursday for causing hurt with a dangerous weapon and other offences.
Lee Ai Kok, 50, admitted to six charges including theft and driving-related offences and was given a total jail sentence of five months and six weeks plus a $7,200 fine. Lee, a driver, was also banned from driving for five years, which will take effect from his release.
The court heard that Lee had called Mr Roy Owyong Shi Hao, 25, at about 2.30am on Sept 18 last year to meet him at the void deck of Block 10 Jalan Kukoh.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nicole Evangeline Poh said Lee suspected that Mr Owyong was having an affair with his wife Zhang Yi, 26, and wanted to confront him. Mr Owyong had gotten to know Ms Zhang at the KTV pub where she worked.
