Man jailed 4 months for commercial sex with underaged girl

An odd-job worker was jailed for four months on Friday for paying an underage Vietnamese girl for sex.

Tan Wah Eng, 60, pleaded guilty to paying $120 for the sexual services of the 17-year-old girl at Four Chain View Hotel in Geylang Road on June 19, 2011.

A district court heard that he would visit a coffeeshop in Geylang and meet his acquaintance, Seng Swee Meng, 42, to talk about Vietnamese girls who frequented the coffeeshop.

Tan knew that Seng was in charge of some of the Vietnamese girls who were working under him as prostitutes.
