A man believed to be in his 30s was found dead in the driver’s seat of a car parked at East Coast Park this morning.
His car was parked in a parking lot between the East Coast Parkway (ECP) and the East Coast Park Service Road.
Paramedics on site pronounced him dead.
The body was discovered at about 10:50am and the police were alerted to the incident shortly after.
The case has been classified as an unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.
Witnesses on scene explained that they had actually seen the car parked there since about midday the day before.
At that time, a lorry driver had passed by the vehicle but just assumed that the man was sleeping as he had his seat reclined and was lying back.

even in rain, cracking the window a little helps with ventilation. never trust the air-con in a closed vent of any car. at least, leave the vent open with air-con on.

That's what I do too. Wind down window and leave aircon on. I don't want to fall asleep in a fully wound up car and wake up at the Pearly Gates.

very likely. every year a few cases of carbon monoxide poisoning as the gas is colourless and odorless and the onset is very subtle drowsiness and then sudden death, no warning like the HK people use charcoal to kill themselves. alot of stupid sinkies like to switch on car or lorry engines and idle and read or sleep inside. even minute amounts of CO poisoning can go undetected and cause brain damage in short and long term. thats why so many stupid sinkies around. sinkieland is actually one of the most polluted cities in the world. PM 2.5 very high even MOEnviron refused to reveal. due to too many diesel lorries around all euro 2 and 3 lorries and vans.
