KOSMO! reported that police have arrested a man after he allegedly hit his wife with a stone mortar because she refused to have lunch with him.

The 25-year-old housewife suffered injuries to her thigh, chin and head during the incident in a Kuantan village on Sunday.

Pahang deputy CID chief Mohd Haris Daud said the victim lodged a police report against her 28-year-old husband.

'We arrested him to assist in investigations under Section 323 of the Penal Code for causing hurt,' he said. -- THE STAR/ANN
