PETALING JAYA: The body of 15-year-old girl Ng Yuk Tim, who had been missing since Monday, was found stuffed in a suitcase and in Jalan Kebun Nenas, Shah Alam.

Selangor deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Rahim Jaafar said a 23-year-old male suspect had confessed to killing the girl in his house and was brought in to the Petaling Jaya police headquarters at 6.30pm.

“He led police to a body which was in a suitcase at the side of the road near a curb,” he told a press conference at the crime scene.

According to sources, Ng Yuk Tim left her home at 11am on Monday and went to the man’s home in Kelana Jaya to work on cosplay costumes for an upcoming event.

The man initially claimed that he had dropped her off at the Kelana Jaya LRT station at about 3.30pm.

Under persistent questioning by a crime watcher, he confessed to murdering her.

He admitted that he tried to rape the girl before striking her with a dumbell, killing her on the spot.

PETALING JAYA: A 23-year-old man has been detained in connection with missing 15-year-old girl Ng Yuk Tim.

The man was brought to the Petaling Jaya police district headquarters (IPD) at about 5pm for questioning.

Scores of reporters have been waiting at the IPD waiting for police comments as well as Ng’s parents since 8pm Tuesday.

Police have not issued any official statement regarding the whereabouts of the girl or whether she is still alive.

The last time anyone had heard from Yuk Tim was at about 2.30pm on Monday when she sent her friend an SMS, asking to meet up for tea that night.

Her friend replied a few minutes later but the message did not go through.

The girl had left home at about 11am on Monday to meet up with some friends for breakfast.

Meanwhile, a body was found in stuffed in a green suitcase at Jalan Kebun Nenas, Shah Alam at 10pm, believed to be Yuk Tim.

It is learnt the suspect led police to the site.
