SINGAPORE - A 38-year-old man has been arrested by the police for allegedly breaking into a home and stealing $150.
On June 26, a man was spotted by a neighbour breaking into a HDB unit in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 and called the police. The police responded within minutes, and the man realised he was cornered.
He then tried to climb out of the unit's rear window and into the adjacent unit.
Officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were activated to deploy a life pack.
The man was eventually arrested in the adjacent unit.
If found guilty of housebreaking and theft the suspect can be jailed up to 10 years.
