Man charged with multiple offences involving S$860,000

SINGAPORE: An unemployed man has been charged with a total of 14 counts of receiving stolen property, removing criminal proceeds out of Singapore, and acquiring a person's benefits through criminal conduct.
46-year-old Lim Ee Tak allegedly committed all these offences, which involved more than S$860,000.
The Court heard that in April this year, Lim is believed to have received stolen property worth more than S$760,000.
Within the same month, Lim also allegedly acquired S$100,000 from a businessman which he believed were benefits from criminal conduct.
In addition, Lim is accused of removing the money from Singapore and transferring it to Malaysia.
Lim told the court that he intends to plead guilty.
He has been offered bail of S$200,000.
The case will continue on 3 January.
