Man arrested for suspected loansharking activities

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 43-year-old man for suspected involvement in loansharking activities.
He was caught at about 12.30pm on Wednesday around Clementi Avenue 3.
Police believe he is a debtor-turned-runner who assisted the loanshark syndicates by handing over money to debtors to open bank accounts and obtain ATM cards from them.
Cash of S$500 and an ATM card were found on him.
