Man arrested for stealing cash cards from vehicles

SINGAPORE: A 37-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing cash cards from parked vehicles islandwide.
Police said they received reports of such theft in areas such as Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Bugis of cash cards being stolen from cars left unsecured or from motorcycles with cash cards left unattended in the In-vehicle Unit.
After carrying out investigations, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday at Raffles Avenue.
He is believed to be involved in more than 10 such cases.
The suspect will be charged in court on Friday for theft and if convicted, he can be jailed up to three years, fined or given both.
