Man arrested for serial housebreaking in Marsiling

SINGAPORE - A 39-year-old man has been arrested for suspected involvement in a series of housebreaking incidences reported in Marsiling HDB estate.
On Feb 14, at around 8.15am, a female victim reported that her house was broken into and cash amounting to about $4,000 and a watch were stolen.
Police conducted extensive ground investigations and managed to establish the identity of the suspect.
The officers from Jurong Police Division managed to apprehend him after mounting an operation on Sep 24 at around 7.40am.
A laptop, believed to be stolen, was seized from the suspect's possession.
Earlier investigations indicted that he could be responsible for similar housebreaking cases reported in the vicinity.
He will appear in court on Sep 25. If convicted, he faces a jail term up to 14 years.
