Man arrested for robbery with hurt at construction site

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for robbing and assaulting a middle-aged man on May 15.
At around 11.30pm that day, the suspect fled after robbing the 42-year-old male victim of his gold chain at a construction site along Woodlands Road.
Officers from Jurong Police Division were notified of the robbery and investigated the case. After establishing the identity of the man, the police tracked down and arrested the suspect at Jalan Bahar the following day at about 1pm. The stolen gold chain was also recovered.
The man will be charged in court on May 18 for the offence of Robbery with Hurt.
If convicted, he faces a jail term up to 20 years and shall be liable to a maximum of 12 strokes of caning.
