Man arrested for outrage of modesty

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for molesting a woman in Woodlands.

On July 3, 2013, at about 10.04pm, a 27-year-old female lodged a report with the police informing them that she was molested by an unknown man at Block 853 Woodlands Street 83.

With CCTV footage of the incident, police tried to ascertain the identity and whereabouts of the suspect.

He was apprehended on July 6, 2013 at about 12.05am near Woodlands Street 83.

For the offence of outrage of modesty, the suspect faces jail time of up to two years or a fine. He is also liable to caning. Investigations against the suspect are still ongoing.
