Posted: 15 May 2012 2206 hrs

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 44-year-old man for alleged armed robbery of taxi drivers in Marsiling housing estate.

Last November, two cases of armed robbery were reported by taxi drivers in Marsiling housing estate.

It is believed that the suspect was involved in both cases.

In May this year, police received information that led to the identity of the suspect. He was arrested at Marsiling Drive on Tuesday.

The suspect will be charged in court on Wednesday with armed robbery. If found guilty, he could face a jail term of up to 14 years.
