Man arrested for allegedly breaking into private homes

SINGAPORE - A man allegedly involved in a number of housebreaking cases in private estates in central Singapore was arrested on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old is suspected in a series of trespass and housebreaking cases in the private estates of Stevens Road, Moulmein Road and Upper Thomson Road.
Since March this year, police have been receiving reports of a person trespassing into private residential properties by scaling the perimeter walls. In some cases, cash and mobile phones were reported stolen.
The police advised all home owners to adopt the following crime prevention measures:
