Forumners who know will confirm that in the old 40 SAR camp in Keat Hong, there are 2 separate cook houses. One is a chinese cookhouse and another in a separate but smaller building is the Indian cookhouse. Both are not halal. Of course now, with everything catered by private contractors, in theory, you don't even need a cook house, much less whether its halal or not.

Ok, u are talking about the 2006 Lebanon invasion by Israel. The Israelis apparently committed 400 Merks, well over 1000 anti tank missiles and rockets were fired at the tanks by Hezbollah. And 52 damaged with 2 complete write offs. Again, when you look at the lost rate (and that is how all tank casualities are calculated), its pretty low.

You have to look at the terrain, the rules under which the IDF operated, the engagement rules, etc. when the whole world is watching you, and u have cameras all over the place from journalists and when one of your mandate is to reduce collateral damage, you wage a different war then say the Russians in Chechnya. In any case, the new active anti tank systems like Trophy will take care of these losses in the future.

My time in our seaside resort; its called Non Muslim and Muslim cookhouse. Indians predomibally heads to the Muslim as most cannot eat pork while the Gragos usually at the non-muslim. Whole unit only had two senior Malay NCO with clearance seconded from the Navy. Every operational soldier understand the open rule; no one question it. Nowadays, everything changed.
