China Press also reported that a 22-year-old Malaysian was charged in Singapore for robbery and attacking his victim with a hammer.

The accused was said to have committed the offence on a 48-year-old man at about 7.30am, on Oct 20 last year.

He made off with a total of S$3,500 (RM8,050) in cash and a digital camera.

The accused was arrested at Woodlands checkpoint on New Year and would go on trial on Jan 7.
