KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysians thronged hypermarkets and restaurants over the weekend to stock up on supplies and dine with families and friends, ahead of new movement curbs widely expected to be announced by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin on Monday (Jan 11) to tackle surging coronavirus cases.

Long queues were seen at supermarkets and hypermarkets, and items such as toilet rolls and vegetables were said to be out of stock at some supermarkets. Two Cabinet ministers issued statements on Sunday urging shoppers not to panic buy.

Don't be too happy. Obviously you have not been noticing some items in the supermarkets are dwindling.

i wish there’s a pork shortage in sg. must give fellow porcine a break. they’ve been abused and eaten to death by chinkies and tiongs for far too long.

It won't happen. They didn't shut their roads when motor vehicle fatalities were at 200 per day. Why should they shut it now if covid hits 20 deaths per day?
Unless some smart alec scare the ministers by saying it will hit hundreds of deaths per day if they did not shut the country down.

They pawned themselves. Blocked meat imports from singapore claiming that we are fake halal, will translate to higher food prices by middle of this year.

Waiting for mudland to announce halt of food produce to Singapore to ensure sufficient stocks for themselves. Already veg prices have gone up.
