nothing, i am an Australian citizen..cab fare in Australia is one of the highest in the world and i have no complain because i respect the policies and law in a REAL first world country.

Yes, they turned on the meter years ago, their cab ran on natural gas way back in 1993 when I took one from then, Subang to KL City. If you go KL today, most of the cabs turn on the meter, but you still can haggle over the fares, in JB too...but whether it is not cheating you..."have faith lah!". So far, I checked their meter reading in KL, the same route I use to travel....is within normal fare range, provided the driver, don't bring you on a "tour" of the city.

Anyway in the world, including SINgapore...all cab/taxi drivers are 99.9% dishonest...if they are, I worry!
