Why is Tonychat's Government making such a big issue about the Nudist? I cannot fathom!
Nudists' pictures to be published if they refused to cooperate
BUKIT MERTAJAM: Police will publish the pictures of individuals who were filmed at a ‘beach nudist sports’ at Penang National Park if they refused to turn themselves in.
State police chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi urged the individuals to cooperate, adding that they have sought the assistance of Interpol to identify the foreigners in the video.
“We are confident that we can track all 18 of them, including six women, by tomorrow,” he said at a police roadshow in Prai here today.
Seven out of the 18 nudists in the video were Malaysians, four of them Singaporeans, two Myanmar nationals and one each from The Philippines and India.
Police had taken down statements from 10 people and groups, excluding the nudists, over the incident.
The video of the group of 18 nudists frolicking in a secluded beach had gone viral on the social media.
One of the nude women, in her 40s, was a former Kedah Wanita chief some 20 years ago.
A user, identified only as Albert, had uploaded the 5.25-minute long video, titled "Penang Nude Sports Games 2014" on to Vimeo video sharing website about two months ago, and thanked one ‘Miss Chew’ for organising the event and the "naturists for coming and making it a history in Malaysia".
According to a review made by one Justin, the group had assembled at the Teluk Bahang jetty before they took a boat ride to a secret spot at Pantai Kerachut.
Upon arrival, the group was greeted by a "ranger" before they gathered at a hut to start stripping.
The nudists later took turns to paint their bodies before they took to the beach for some sports games, which included swim-over-body challenge and passing-the-baton.
They also took a nude walk along the two kilometre beach and had the "ranger" helped them with some of the chores, including setting up a bonfire.
One Justin had described on the Internet that a "ranger" had helped out the nudists.
He also bragged about how "for once, they got to enjoy the natural environment and atmosphere just as how Nature intended it to be."
The video, which had set tongues wagging, has since been made private by its owner.
