BACHOK - In addition to modern treatment, Islamic medicine can also be used as one of the alternatives to be considered by the government to treat Covid-19 patients.

The suggestion was voiced by the Deputy State Exco of the Local Government and Health of the State of Kelantan, Hilmi Abdullah who is also a Nurse of the DarusSalam Islamic Medical Association Malaysia (DarusSalam).

Hilmi said the proposal was put forward to jointly help the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) to address and treat the growing number of Covid-19 patients in the country.

"As contained in the Qur'an. The Quran is a miracle and can be a cure for disease. So in addition to using modern treatments, we can also try to use Islamic medical methods.

"In our opinion, with the permission and strict monitoring by the MOH, this selected Covid-19 patient will be given antidote which is recited by rukyah verses by our nurse and bathed with bidara water for a certain period and time. Comparisons should be made scientifically before, during and after treatment.

"With the help of MOH experts, studies can be conducted to assess the level of change shown by the patients involved. Patient medicine must be taken regularly, "he told Sinar Harian on Monday.

Earlier, he officiated the DarusSalam Islamic Medical Degree Convocation to 59 Kelantan Generation Two graduates.

Also present were the Chairman of DarusSalam Malaysia, Abd Manaf Jusoh and the Chief Nurse of the DarusSalam Kelantan Islamic Treatment Center, Ibrahim Saad.

Hilmi said, perhaps at first glance this method does not help much to deal with the spread of Covid-19 in this country, but he said it is not wrong to try because this combination of Islamic and modern medicine can sometimes treat an incurable disease in the mind.

After all, he said, if allowed DarusSalam nurses are ready to work with the MOH and scientists according to the standard operating procedures (SOP) outlined by the government.

Meanwhile, Abdul Manaf said, during the DarusSalam treatment must be in line with the current SOP in deciding the Covid-19 pandemic network that hit the country.

DarusSalam Islamic Medical Center was founded by the late Datuk Ismail Kamus and now has several branches of treatment centers throughout the country, namely Kelantan, Pahang, Perak, Johor, Negeri Sembilan.

Hilmi berkata, cadangan tersebut dilontarkan untuk bersama-sama membantu Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) menangani serta merawat pesakit Covid-19 di negara ini yang semakin bertambah.


“Sebagaimana terkandung di dalam Al-Quran. Al-Quran adalah mukjizat dan boleh menjadi penyembuh kepada penyakit. Jadi selain menggunakan perawatan moden, kita juga boleh cuba guna kaedah perubatan secara Islam.

“Pada pandangan kami, dengan kebenaran dan pemantauan ketat oleh KKM pesakit Covid-19 terpilih ini akan diberikan air penawar yang dibacakan ayat-ayat rukyah oleh perawat kami dan dimandikan dengan air bidara untuk tempoh dan pada waktu tertentu. Perbandingan perlu dibuat secara saintifik kesan sebelum, semasa dan selepas rawatan.



“Dengan bantuan pakar-pakar KKM, kajian boleh dijalankan untuk menilai tahap perubahan yang ditunjukkan pesakit terbabit. Ubat tetap pesakit kena makan,” katanya kepada Sinar Harian pada Isnin.

Terdahulu beliau merasmikan Konvokesyen DarusSalam Ijazah Perubatan Ijazah Perubatan Islam kepada 59 graduan Generasi Dua Kelantan.

Hadir sama, Pengerusi DarusSalam Malaysia, Abd Manaf Jusoh dan Ketua Perawat Pusat Rawatan Islam DarusSalam Kelantan, Ibrahim Saad.


Hilmi berkata, mungkin sekali pandang cara ini tidak banyak membantu menangani penularan Covid-19 di negara ini, namun katanya tidak salah mencuba kerana gabungan perubatan Islam dan moden ini ada kalanya dapat merawat sesuatu penyakit yang tidak terjangkau di fikiran.



Lagipun katanya, jika dibenarkan perawat DarusSalam bersedia untuk bekerjasama dengan KKM dan para saintis mengikut prosedur operasi standard (SOP) digariskan kerajaan.

Sementara itu, Abdul Manaf berkata, ketika rawatan DarusSalam mestilah selari dengan SOP semasa dalam memutuskan rangkaian pandemik Covid-19 yang melanda negara.

Pusat Perubatan Islam DarusSalam diasaskan oleh Allahyarham Datuk Ismail Kamus dan kini mempunyai beberapa cawangan pusat rawatan di seluruh negara iaitu Kelantan, Pahang, Perak, Johor, Negeri Sembilan.

Barely two weeks after being administered a trial vaccine shot of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin, Haryana’s Health Minister Anil Vij Saturday tested positive of the novel coronavirus. The 67-year-old BJP veteran is diabetic, and had recently undergone a surgery for a thigh bone fracture. He had volunteered to participate in the vaccine’s human phase trials, in which over 25,000 persons were administered trial doses.





Announcing that he had tested positive for Covid-19, Vij tweeted: “I have been tested Corona positive. I am admitted in Civil Hospital Ambala Cantt. All those who have come in close contact to me are advised to get themselves tested for corona.”
