The judge ruled that the prosecution failed to prove that the money was obtained from illegal activities.

He added that the prosecution also did not bring forward evidence that the cash originated from IMDB.

Malaysia will be in deepshit unless and until Najib comes back and be PM again. It’s a small price to pay for the country to be strong again. Nobody in Malaysia has his leadership and ability to pull the country together again. Reactivate all the cancer projects. Mudlanders should know by now, Najib is what they need, the rests are clowns. Just like in Singapore Sinkies are paying the money to the very talented PAPee leeders, Mudland just need to pay to Najib and his cronies.

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 5): Some RM114 million in cash seized during a dramatic raid at Pavilion Residences in 2018 has been returned to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak via his representative, according to a source.
This came after the High Court on May 20 dismissed the application by the government to forfeit the money, followed by the prosecution’s move not to appeal against the decision.

The RM114 million, which was mostly in foreign currencies and purportedly linked to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), was claimed by Najib, a former president of Umno, and by the party itself.

A source close to the case told The Edge today that the money was returned through a representative of Najib, but it was not clear if the cash was given to Umno.

The Edge has reached out to Umno’s lawyers and is awaiting their response.

Justice Datuk Muhammad Jamil Hussin, who dismissed the forfeiture suit on May 20, did not make any order as to whom the money should be returned to.

The RM114 million was seized during a police raid on a luxury condominium unit owned by OBYU Holdings Sdn Bhd on May 17, 2018, shortly after the previous general election.

Justice Jamil in his judgement said the prosecution had failed to prove that the money was obtained from illegal activities.
The judge also said that the prosecution had failed to bring any evidence that the cash originated from 1MDB.
As the case was decided on May 20, the last stipulated day to file the notice of appeal should have been June 3 — before the implementation of the full lockdown.

It is understood that the matter was referred to Attorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun, who was said to have decided not to file the appeal.
The condo raid yielded between RM900 million and RM1.1 billion worth of valuables, including close to 12,000 pieces of luxurious jewellery, handbags, watches and cash.
The hearings with regard to the non-cash assets have yet to begin.

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Razak was drawing a monthly salary of over RM78,000 for being the head of public administration and member of Parliament, before stepping down as the country’s prime minister following the May 9 general election last year, the High Court was told yesterday.

Deputy head of accountant at the Prime Minister’s Department, Putrajaya Zarina Yusuf, the 27th witness for the SRC International case hearing, testified yesterday that Najib’s monthly salary for his service in the public administration amounted to over RM58,000 between May 2009 and April 2018.

Between January and April 2009, when Najib was deputy Prime Minister, Zarina said Najib’s civil service payroll was over RM48,000 a month.

On top of that, Parliament administrative officer Farah Nurdiana Azhar, the 26th witness, testified earlier that Najib also received over RM19,000 monthly salary and allowances from Parliament between January 2015 and March 2018.

In other words, Najib’s total salary from Parliament and his government positions gave him more than RM78,000 every month before he stepped down after being defeated in GE14.

In his final month in office, Najib obtained a RM1 million golden handshake payment from the nation’s coffer.
Zarina said Najib’s last drawn salary in May 2018 was RM1.017 million.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Izzat Fauzan asked the reason for the sudden jump in salary for Najib, Zarina said she was not sure of the purpose for such payment.
“I’m not very sure what was this payment for, as it was prepared by the finance department, but I understand that this was a payment according to the law, for prime minister and former prime minister,” she said.

However, it is understood that the RM1 million payment is given to Najib after relinquishing the post.
Apart from the RM1 million payment, Zarina said Najib’s salary was pro-rated in May 2018 (RM9,000) for his civil service until May 9, 2018, when the 14th General Election (GE14) was held.

Prior to Zarina and Farah Nurdiana, the prosecution also called in Prime Minister’s Department secretary of Parliament Daman Huri Nor as the 25th witness to verify the appointment letter of Najib as the country’s prime minister.

Daman Huri said Najib has two appointment letters, the first dated April 3, 2009, that is certified by the then Yang di Pertuan Agong Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.
The second is on May 6, 2013 signed by the late Agong Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah.

S'porean cosmetic doctor guesses what plastic surgery Rosmah Mansor had done

Law Awareness Week 2020

05 October 2020 - 13 November 2020

A cosmetic doctor in Singapore, Siew Tuck Wah, has written a post, where he tried to figure out the extent of plastic surgery Rosmah Mansor had undergone for her face.

Rosmah is the wife of Malaysia's ex-prime minister Najib Razak, who was recently ousted from power after the Malaysian election on May 9, 2018.
Since her husband's departure from political office, the duo have come under increasingly intense scrutiny from the public, partly also as a result of the talk in Putrajaya that the once powerful pair are facing some formal investigations.
Their lifestyle and finances are of particular interest to the hoi polloi.

Compare and contrast

In his post, Siew compared Rosmah's recent look with a photo he said was from 1989, when she was 38 years old.

Rosmah is currently 66 and will turn 67 by Dec. 10 this year.
Siew essentially explained that Rosmah's overall facial features are effectively negative examples of aesthetic treatment -- that is, if she has had any done before.
He wrote:

Rosmah, the wife of recently ousted Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, has long been the poster girl of bad plastic surgery procedures amongst practicing doctors. She is the living example of what medical aesthetic procedures should NOT result in.
[...]
How then, did she end up looking like the scary gargoyle we are familiar with?

Too much

According to Siew, who is a known aesthetic medical doctor, Rosmah has had too many procedures done.
He wrote that she has had too much fillers in her entire face, which includes her cheeks and chin, to the extent, her face becomes raised, or inflated.
Any implants in her nose and chin have also made her features protrude out too much.
And if she has had Botox shots, they are way too much to the extent her facial muscles are paralysed and can no longer reveal emotions.

What emotions did Rosmah display? Was she happy, excited or angry? Click this video link to find out.

He reckons the excesses she infamously supposedly indulges in has been transferred to her countenance.
However, he also qualifies that there has not been any proof or admission by Rosmah that she has had her face done before, except for a tell-all Facebook post by Rosmah's daughter, who claims aesthetic doctors were a familiar sight in her home.

His diagnosis is also partly a diatribe against Rosmah, which is a hoot to read.
